Cross-Stitch Onesie and headband

          Cross-stitch baby onesie
          Size Newborn to 3 months

Materials needed:
J hook
baby soft yarn any color
3 buttons
Thread
Tapestry needle
Scissors

Special abbrevations:
Dc-double crochet
Dccs-double crochet cross stitch
Sl st- slip stitch
Ch-chain
Sp-space
Sc-single crochet
Sk-skip

*Dccs- skip 1st st, dc into next st, dc back into the skipped st-Double crochet cross stitch (dccs) made.

                    Pattern

Ch 41

*Note:
For the first row go through the back st! Turn yarn over and u will see a single st you will be goin threw that st not the front loop or the back loop!

This is the front and back loops do not go threw those! When u are done the sts it will look like a single crochet so no edging needed!

Row1:
Dc into 3rd ch from the hook, (counts as first dc here and throughout), dccs into next 4 sts, dc ch1 dc into next st, dc into next st, dccs into next 6sts, dc ch1 dc into next st, dc into next st, dccs into next 10 sts, dc ch1 dc into next st, dc into next st, dccs into next 6 sts, dc ch1 dc into next st, dccs into next 4 sts, dc into last st, turn

Row 2:
Ch 2, dc into 1st st, dc into next st, dccs into next 4 sts, dc into next st, dc ch1 dc into ch 1sp, dc into next st, dccsbinto the next 8 sts, dc ch1 dc into next ch 1 sp, dc into next st, dccs into next 12 sts, dc ch1 dc into ch 1 sp, dc into next st, dccs into next 8 sts, dc ch 1 dc into ch 1 spdc into next st, dccs into next 4 sts, dc into last st, turn

Rows 3-5:
Repeat row 2 * the number of sts will go up so make sure you get all the sts,
For the beginning make sure your first st is a dc and the last st at the end of the row is a dc, if u have to make the last 2 sts a dc thats fine the st count will stay the same!

Row 6: arm holes
Ch 2, dc into first st, dccs into the next 8 sts, dc into next st, dc into ch1 sp, sk 16 sts, dc into the 2nd ch 1 sp, dccs into next 20 sts, dc into next st, dc into ch 1 sp, sk 16 sts, dc into ch 1 sp, dc into next st, dccs into next 8 sts, dc into last st, turn

Row 7:
Ch 2( counts as dc for every row) dccs into each st up to the last 2 sts, dc into lat 2 sts, join with a sl st to top of ch 2

Rows 8-18:
Ch 2, dccs into each st around, dc into last st, sl st into top of ch 2
*note
Every other row you will have to do a dc or a dccs. The dccs and dc will alternate, one row will be dc and next row will be dccs!

             Back tab
At the end of row 18, turn your work, sl st into the next 5 sts, turn
Ch 2 dc into next st, dccs into next 4 sts, dc into last st, turn repeat 6 more times
Sl st into next 2 sts, 2 sl st into next sp, sl st into next 2 sts, sl st into last st fasten off and sew in all ends and button

      Arms edging
St st into any st, ch 2 dccs into each st around sl st into chain 2 repeat once more! Do the same for the other arm

    Back edging and button holes
Left side
Sl st into the bottom of the back opening ch 1 sc into each of the next 12 sts turn ch 1 sc into the 12 sts repeat one more time
Fasten off

Right side
Sl st into the bottom of back opening ch 1 sc into next 2 sts, ch 2, sk next st, sl st into next st, sc into next 2 sts, ch 2, sk next st sl st into next st, sc into next 2 sts, ch 2 sk next st sl st into next st sc into last st fasten off weave in all ends

   

                     Headband

Ch 46, join ends
Round 1:going threw back st
Ch 2, ( counts as dc) dccs into each back st around sl st into ch 2

Round 2:
Ch 1 sc around sl st into ch 1 fasten off sew in ends

Make 2 flowers one for onesie and other for headband

                           Flower

6.5mm or k hook. 2 colors of yarn

             Pattern
Ch 4
Sl st into the begininng ch to form a ring
Round 1:
Ch 3 dc into ring 11 times, sl st into top of ch 3

Round 2:
Ch 2 , 4 dc into next st, ch 2, sc into next st, repeat around sl st to the top of ch 2
Fasten off weave in ends

Round 3:
Join wih new color, sc around the ch 2 sp, sc into next 4 dc, sc into ch 2 sp sc around the post(see pic) directly below, repeat around
Fasten off and sew in all ends!
